Pumpkin Bread & 10 Other Pumpkin Recipes You Should Try This Season

Pumpkin Bread & 10 Other Pumpkin Recipes You Should Try This Season

Have you gone crazy with pumpkin everything yet!? I confess, that I like keeping extra cans of pumpkin around the house year round for when I get a craving, so come September I am ready to go all out with pumpkin everything. To kick off the fall season, I recently baked some “Better than Starbucks,” Pumpkin Bread and am sharing that recipe, along with ten additional pumpkin recipes you can try this season.

I’m a huge fan of pumpkin bread, so when someone recently shared this “Better than Starbucks,” Pumpkin Bread recipe with me, I just had to try it! Can there be a pumpkin bread better than Starbucks’s? This is definitely a top recipe, the bread turned out perfect and oh so moist (eek! does anyone else cringe when they hear that word?!). I had to share this recipe with you because it was so delicious.

Now because I usually prefer making my breads gluten free, and this one is not, I’m including some healthier alternatives too with my ten other pumpkin recipes that you should try listed below.

BETTER THAN STARBUCKS PUMPKIN BREAD

The original recipe came from The Cafe Sucre Farine, you can FIND THEIR RECIPE HERE, and pin it/print it off for your archives!

Make sure you also take note in the preparation of this bread. It says to wrap the outside of your loaf pan in tinfoil, which is something I have never heard of/done before, but it really helps the bread to bake evenly and prevents the crust of the bread from getting hard and crusty!

MODIFICATIONS I MADE

Raise your hand if you ever make a recipe without making a couple modifications here and there? If you’re anything like me, I always add a little extra when it comes to seasoning when it comes to herbs and spices, so I wasn’t going to start holding back now! I definitely added extra cinnamon to this recipe.

Now even though I go extra with seasonings, I do try to cut back on salt and sugar. This recipe did not have a lot of salt, so I added what the recipe called for, but it had a good amount of sugar so I made some substitutions. Instead of adding all the white and brown sugar, I added only 3/4 cup of coconut sugar and it was still plenty sweet! I also saw a little bit of coconut left in a bag in my pantry, so I said why not?! And added that too. Coconut adds some extra sweetness as well.

I also did not go out of my way to find pumpkin seeds for the candied coating. I just threw some chopped pecans that I already had in my pantry on top of the batter before baking and didn’t candy them (although candied nuts are divine!).
