Christmas Decor

Do you have a favorite theme you like to decorate your house in for the holidays? Currently, I would say that my Christmas decor is pretty traditional, with lots of red, gold, and green accents. The majority of our decorations are all things that have been collected over the years, and given to Will and I from our mothers. I have done my best to try to merge it all into a cohesive, festive look.

Now that we are officially homeowners, I am getting to the point where I want to revamp our Christmas decor so that we have a matching “theme” throughout the house. There is so much variety these days though, it’s hard to decide what to do!

I have been looking all over for inspiration to update everything for next year. You know I love some easy sewing projects to update my space and an excuse to shop from fabric.com!

Here are some pictures of some of my Christmas decor and centerpieces that I did last year. I kept my bread bowl centerpieces the same color scheme, red and green, with some gold and white accents.

My tree has a wine colored ribbon with an edge of gold beading. We have a mix of ornaments, but there are lots of different kinds of Santa and Nutcracker ornaments that creates some consistency with the ornaments. We also have our share of rival Florida/Tennessee ornaments on the tree!

I especially love the new tree topper that I got from Patina, on the square this year (previously had an angel topper)! It’s a galvanized metal star with pearl wire wrapped around it. So adorable! I also love that it is a topper, but has wire already attached to it in case you want to use it as an ornament as well. I might have to go back and get more to add as ornaments, because I think that would be cute!
