Are you all set with your sweaters for this season? I don’t know about you, but every year I seem to add a sweater or two to my collection. I just can’t help it! Regardless of my sweater obsession, I am rounding up and sharing five types of sweaters that I have been wearing for years.
I tend to gravitate towards classics that I can wear year after year, and I have found these sweaters to be the ones that I can’t wait to get back into rotation once I feel that cool crisp in the air.
Did I mention that they are especially flattering on my mid sized ladies?! I am on average size 10, and I have worn all of these styles throughout all the fluctuations. From skinny me to pregnant me, I’ve enjoyed these styles and have found them to be flattering on me in every stage of my life.

Cool, crisp air, pumpkin spice everything, leaves changing color and falling to the ground… Are you ready for it?!
Ahh, fall. The most wonderful time of year for most fashion lovers. Time to break out the boots, scarves, and layer up! There are just so many more options and ways to stye outfits with a fall wardrobe. It is so much fun! Raise your hand if you agree.
I especially love fall sweaters with all the neutral and warm tones. I am rounding up a few of my favorite fall sweaters that I currently have in rotation along with some other great finds that I’ve been obsessing over lately. Keep reading for more!
TOP FIVE FAVORITE SWEATERS FOR FALL:
THE TUNIC SWEATER
You have probably heard me rant and rave over tunics before. As someone with a long torso, tunics are my jam. I love them because they’re long, so they provide great coverage. They also are so versatile and look great over leggings, or front tucked into a skirt and your favorite pair of jeans.
Some of my favorite tunic sweaters are from Free People, but if you don’t want to wait for them to go on sale, or splurge on that Free People price, you can always go for the Amazon version and save a few bucks.
I have tried both versions, and I think they’re both great. The Free People tunics are made with better materials (cotton vs. polyester), but both are warm and fit great. Both have also pilled a little on me. I would like to disclaim however, that I wear them ALL THE TIME and I don’t do any special care when it comes to washing to try to keep them looking amazing.
Can you tell the difference between the Amazon and Free People tunic?

LONG CARDIGANS
Ever since long sweaters started to be a thing, I have been stocking up. I mean, who can’t love the coverage they provide!?
I also love that they can easily be dressed up for work (wearing a long sweater over a pencil skirt or cropped pants is my go to). You can also keep it casual with some jeans or leggings for every day.

BAREFOOT DREAMS CARDIGANS
Okay, so this category is kind of similar to the long cardi category, but Barefoot Dreams sweaters are so amazing I thought they deserve a category all of their own.
Have you tried Barefoot Dreams before?! They are so soft, warm, and cozy, you will never want to take it off. I purchased my first Barefoot Dreams cardigan a couple years ago, and it has definitely been my go to that I live in. I wear it with my pajamas, athleisure, regular outfits, to work… You get the picture.
I loved that first sweater so much, I had to snag another this year during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. And since I’m currently pregnant and cold most of the time, I’m living in it already (and it’s only August).
If you’re looking for gift Ideas for the upcoming holiday season, consider getting that special someone some barefoot dreams! Don’t forget to snag one for yourself while you’re at it. They won’t disappoint!

THE COATIGAN & SHACKET
Okay, so I don’t have a shacket yet, but it is on my list of things to snag this season because I’m loving the trend. I do have several coatigans however, that I love to keep in rotation because, like the long cardigan, they’re just so flattering!
Coatigans are usually a bit thicker than your average long cardigan, however, hence the separate category. Once it starts getting cold, you’ll want to opt for these over the cardigan.

THE SWEATER BLAZER
I love a sweater blazer because it has the formality of a blazer, but the warmth and coziness of a sweater. They are also usually easier to take care of because you can just throw them in the wash instead of having to dry clean.

MOM AND ME SWEATERS
If you’re a girl mom, hopefully you can relate, but I love twinning with my littles. My girls are still young, so they get excited about dressing like their mommy, and I think it is fun as well.
Here are a few styles that I have found flattering on my size 10 that you can also purchase for your mini if you’re so inclined.

A COUPLE EXTRAS
Here are a couple extra Amazon sweaters that I have been loving the past couple years, and are still available. They look great with jeans, front tucked with skirts, and more!
