Neutral Florals

Neutral Florals

Here’s a review of the floral arrangements I made for W.T. and Shelby’s wedding shower that was held at my in-law’s back in August. There was such a great turnout for the shower; the celebration was a big success! Did I mention their wedding was too!? Shelby was so beautiful, and I love that her dad played the clarinet in the wedding ceremony, and also played in the band at the reception!

As for the florals for the shower, I tried to keep everything simple and neutral. I used mostly magnolia leaves from my yard, and luckily was able to pick a bunch of gorgeous hydrangeas from a friend’s yard. I bought a bouquet of roses and a green filler bouquet from Costco just to have a little extra.

The containers I used for the arrangements were some WOODEN SUGAR MOLD. The really long one I found at an estate sale a little over a year ago, and the small one I found at Patina on the square. I also used some old silver pieces that were handed down to me from family. Some were a little tarnished, but I like it that way for an old, rustic look when using silver for an arrangement.

When making arrangements, don’t forget to use FLORAL FOAM (FOUND HERE), to make sure everything stays right where you want it. I prefer to use wet foam to help keep the flowers and greenery as fresh as possible.

Looking at all these flowers sure has me excited for this upcoming spring… How about you?

These SUGAR MOLDS look great filled with succulents, or faux/dried hydrangeas for an everyday arrangement in your home.
