What do you like to do to be green? In addition to doing my best to reduce waste, I like to find products that reduce my exposure to harmful chemicals and toxins that are harmful to the body. We are exposed to so much these days in our daily environment, it is important to try to be conscious about the products we use, and what they could possibly be doing to our bodies. The following gift ideas are all clean and chosen with your wellness in mind.

1. Countertop Water Purification and Filtration System | 2. Numi Flowering Tea Set | 3. Glass Coffee Maker | 4. Hammock | 5. Crystal Quartz | 6. Beauty Counter Skincare Gift Set | 7. Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Castille Soap| 8. Dr. Hauschka’s Rose Cream | 9. Breville Juicer | 10. Reusable Silicone Straw Set (Fits All Yetis and Tumblers) | 11. Yeti Rambler | 12. Wellness VIA Water Bottle

WATER FILTRATION

Water is essential to sustain life, and there is no guarantee that the tap water you’re drinking is safe and free from toxins. Even if your city’s water supply is in compliance with EPA guidelines, it is still likely your water contains chlorine, fluoride, and other impurities you don’t know about. These chemicals and impurities in the water can affect your health in many ways.

If you’re not already filtering your water with a high quality filter today, start protecting your family today! I have been using an Alexapure for the past few years, and love it. This Big Berkey water filtration system is pretty much the same thing, a high quality water filter, that removes impurities from your water without the price tag of other high quality filtration systems that require installation.

CRYSTAL QUARTZ

Have you ever heard that different stones have different energizing and healing properties? While I have not researched all stones and their healing properties, I have looked into ways to help reduce exposure to EMF (electromagnetic frequency) radiation. It is widely known that from cell phones to, computers, and other household appliances, we are getting exposed to EMF radiation more and more as technology keeps moving forward.

Just a few of the effects of being exposed to EMF radiation include:

  • Fatigue
  • Joint & Muscle Pain
  • Decreased Attention Span
  • Memory Loss
  • Insomnia
  • Anxiety
  • Cardiac Palpitations
  • High Blood Pressure

While we can’t avoid exposure completely, there are many things you can do to reduce your exposure to EMF radiation including limiting time on computers and phones. In addition to physical steps we can take to reduct our exposure, there are several crystals that are said to help break up and reduce exposure to EMF radiation. You can place these crystals near your computers, and routers, etc.  If anything, they sure do look pretty and make a nice addition to your work desk, or bookshelf!

CLEAN BODY PRODUCTS

I am all about my clean and natural body products. Did you know that there are over 1,400 chemicals that are banned for cosmetic use in the European Union that are not banned here in the US? Your skin is the largest organ in your body, and will absorb all the chemicals that are in your body products if you are not already using clean products. While it might take a little bit longer at the store to read the labels on the products you’re buying, it is worth it for your health.

Dr. Bronner’s castille soap is one of my favorite bath products of all time. The peppermint soap is so invigorating, you are sure to love it, especially during the hotter summer months. I have tried other peppermint castille soaps that are cheaper, and none compare to Dr. Bronners!

In addition to clean soaps, make sure you’re using clean cosmetics and beauty products as well!

JUICER

There’s nothing like a good juice cleanse to help detox from the holiday season and help jump start your New Year’s resolutions. I have had a juicer for years, and love juicing as much as possible. If you compare the cost of buying a juicer to juice yourself vs. buying juice from a juice bar, you can easily see that juicing at home will save you tons of money in the long run. Cheers to a healthy life!
