Easter Gift Guide

Easter Gift Guide

As a mom to only one child, under two, I’m a little new to doing Easter baskets. I’m not big on candy, and have always been a quality over quantity type of person too. While I believe the reason for the season is more important than what’s in the basket, here are my picks, and recommendations for Easter baskets this year!

SWIMSUITS & BEACH TOWELS

This was my #1 response for what to put in baskets when questioning my Instagram followers this year. This is a great (and very practical) gift, because it is something all kids need for the upcoming summer.

I’m pretty sure all kid’s get excited for pool/beach season too, so why not?! I bought my little girl some swimsuits from NORDSTROM RACK, and an adorable, monogrammed, seersucker swimsuit from JANE.COM (click HERE for free shipping from Jane). I will probably put the seersucker swimsuit in her basket even though she’s already seen it! 🙂

You can also never go wrong with BABIATORS (indestructible sunglasses for babies and kids-Greta loves hers!) or a good SUN HAT for your child. Babiators has a great lost and found guarantee, if you register your sunglasses after you purchase them. Babiators will send you a FREE PAIR if they get lost or broken, no questions asked!

BOOKS

My sister in law, Hogan, over at HEMS AND HOSPITALITY, bought Greta the sweetest book ever, called JUST IN CASE YOU EVER WONDER, by Max Lucado. It makes me tear up EVERY time I read it, it is so heartwarming!

I knew Max Lucado wrote Christian books for adults, but since reading that children’s book I have bought several of his other stories for my little one, and recommend them to every parent! Greta loves, YOU ARE SPECIAL, and Max Lucado’s CHILDRENS TREASURY, a collection of stories. These also look like great ones from this author:

Coloring books are also fun. I always prefer to try to make things as educational as possible, so here are some EDUCATIONAL COLORING BOOKS.

If your children are getting older, you can’t go wrong with taking the occasion to buy your children other bible-based books, or help guide your children on a path for success, by buying them books like Stephen Covey’s, SEVEN HABITS and LEADERSHIP ACTIVITY WORKBOOKS for kids. These books will lay great foundations in your children, that will help them as they grow older.

HERE ARE A COUPLE FAITH BASED BOOKS FOR TEENS:

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Along with the warmer weather, you can’t go wrong with giving your children outdoor activities for the spring, and upcoming summer.

Depending on your child’s age, you can’t go wrong with some SIDEWALK CHALK, or a BUBBLE MACHINE if they’re really young.

If they’re older, maybe get a new piece of sports gear, or outdoor activities like these LAWN GAMES, or FLOATIES for the pool.

YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH FUN LAWN GAMES, AND POOL/WATER ACTIVITIES FOR THE SUMMER:

KEEPSAKES

If you have an older daughter (or just want a daily reminder for yourself!), I love this Cartier NAIL BANGLE BRACELET dupe, for the symbolism of God’s sacrifice for us, and Jesus’s resurrection.

I have this bracelet, and I love it’s stylish minimalism. It is a great layering piece too!

Another great keepsake that you can do every year is a MIXBOOK photo book. I fell in love with Mixbook’s professional looking layouts and have decided to make this a yearly tradition with my little one. A lot of people do photo books for Christmas, but to include the entire year of pictures, I decided to wait and make it a special Easter tradition! Mixbook has 50% off their your first order! And if you wanted to treat yourself too, I’m adding this book to my reading list:

I hope you enjoyed my first gift guide. Be sure to comment and let me know what you think, or tell me what you put in your basket that I didn’t cover!

Cheers,
