Valentine’s Table-Scape

Valentine’s Table-Scape

I am working on upping my table-scape game for holidays to keep things fresh, and festive (at least in one room of the house) throughout the year. Here is what I threw together for Valentine’s day!

I’m not huge on celebrating Valentine’s Day, so I didn’t want to put too much into the decor… I know this bread bowl looks a little weak, but my philosophy is you can add a little more each year until you achieve your desired results with a look. Having random fillers for every holiday can add up quickly, so I have just been finding little things here and there, or I wait until the end of a holiday and buy stuff for next year when everything is on sale.

I found the pink and red, glitter confetti hearts at my local Wal-Mart, and thought they’d look cute scattered on the table with the red and white gingham table runner. I just left some of the red accents in the bread bowl from Christmas, and found some extra pink and red, glitter heart picks at Hobby Lobby to add to the bowl, to coordinate with the confetti on the table. The drapey, succulent picks (and the red ball picks from Christmas) are also from Hobby Lobby.

Maybe next year, I will add a few extra flowers to the bowl to give it a fuller effect…

Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day? What do you do? How do you like to celebrate the holiday? Comment and let me know!
