Have you all been to the new Trader Joe’s in Memphis yet? I was so excited when I heard that one was coming to Memphis, because I love Trader Joe’s! It was one of the things that I really didn’t want to leave behind when we moved to west Tennessee from Knoxville. Here are a few of my top picks from Trader Joe’s that I recommend.

If you haven’t been to Trader Joe’s yet, I recommend that you go, stat! It is such a great store filled with tons of healthy food options at great prices. Did you know that most of the foods with a “Trader Joe’s” label is gluten free too? If you have gluten allergies, you can get a list of all their gluten free foods in stock while you’re in the store to help your shopping experience too. The staff is always super friendly too, and helpful!

While there are so many items I could list off that I love from Trader Joe’s I thought I’d just share a few of my favorites.

Cashew Butter

Emphasis on the butter, this cashew butter is so smooth, creamy, and delicious! It has just the right amount of salt too to balance out the sweetness of the cashews. Before we moved from Knoxville, I literally bought the whole shelf of cashew butter, because I have tried other brands, and none compare to this.

Toasted Coconut Pancake Mix

I love pretty much anything coconut, but this pancake mix is the bomb! The toasted coconut gives your pancakes a little crunchiness. They’re light, and fluffy, and paring coconut pancakes with melted butter, hot syrup, and fresh bacon is a little slice of Heaven on earth.

Sriracha and Roasted Garlic BBQ Sauce

Have you looked at the ingredient list on your favorite BBQ sauce lately? Chances are one of it’s top ingredients is high fructose corn syrup, which is a GM additive that I try to avoid in all foods. Trader Joes has several BBQ sauces to suit your taste, and none of them contain high fructose corn syrup!

This Sriracha and Roasted Garlic BBQ sauce is spicy and just the right balance of BBQ with a little Asian, Sriracha flair. Can’t wait to have Will glaze it on some chicken wings! I always love a good, Carolina Gold too…

Aoli Garlic Mustard Sauce

If you’re a fan of sausage and cheese plates as an appetizer, you need to try this mustard with it. It might be because I think garlic makes everything better, but this is a delicious mustard. Try it!

Chocolate Coconut Almonds

These are halfway gone… Don’t judge me! 🙂

Cauliflower Gnocchi

This gnocchi is so light and fluffy, and you would never know that you’re eating cauliflower! I recommend this for all those that like to keep their gluten intake low, and for those who like eating keto/paleo!

I recently ate these with a sun dried tomato and pesto sauce, with chicken. It was to die for! Still trying to duplicate meals from Sapori Trattoria in Chicago!

This list just scratches the surface of all the good things that Trader Joe’s has to offer. In addition to having a large variety of products with clean ingredients, they have so many healthier options for quick/freezer meals that are great to have on hand for those days when you just don’t have time to cook!

Speaking of quick, check out this gut healthy, recipe for a BRAT IN A BOWL.
