Leopard Love | How to Style Your Leopard Staples

Leopard Love | How to Style Your Leopard Staples

Leopard print has been in season for a while, and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere soon. Almost considered a neutral, leopard print is so versatile, it can be worn in so many ways, from casual to dressy. Here is a run down on some of my favorite leopard pieces that I have collected over the years, and how I style these pieces.

There is so much leopard out these days, it is very hard not to fill your closet up with leopard everything! Dresses, skirts, shoes, pants, belts, earrings, purses… You name it, and I guarantee you will be able to find it in a leopard print. For the leopard obsessed, like me, it’s hard to resist buying it all! Here are a few looks that I’ve styled with some of my leopard pieces that I have collected over the years. Since some pieces are older, I’ve tried to link current pieces out by the same brand, as well as similar looks, and a few extra pieces that I am just obsessing over right now.

Keep in mind while you’re browsing that many of these staple pieces would make christmas gifts and/or stocking stuffers for someone you love!

When I purchase a piece of clothing I often think to myself is this a staple item? To me a staple item is something that is classic and timeless. I love leopard because it is a timeless print that can really enhance your wardrobe when you invest in versatile pieces like these.

LEOPARD BLOUSES AND TUNICS

Blouses and Tunics are one of my favorite leopard pieces because they’re so versatile (do I sound like a broken record yet?)! I love having a staple blouse that I can pair with a pencil skirt (or ankle pants), heels and a blazer (or long cardigan) for work, and then transition to play with a quick change into leggings or jeans for play! Tunics are great too because they can be worn as a dress (mostly worn w. leggings for me because I’m tall), but most can also be worn as a shirt with a quick front tuck as well!

LEOPARD JACKETS & COVER UPS

Leopard cover ups are great because they really can spice up a rather boring, monochromatic or simple outfit.  Because leopard is a classic print as well, I’ll be wearing all of these pieces for years!

LEOPARD SHOES & ACESSORIES

I love a good pair of leopard shoes and most leopard accessories. They give just enough flair and personality to add a bit of flair to any plain outfit that you might be wearing, and are perfect for work, date nights, for a girls night out… Okay, they’re perfect for any occasion! The mixture of brown and black in leopard shoes, also makes them versatile enough to match just about everything in your closet. Over the years I have collected several pairs of leopard shoes, and have some leopard belts, scarves, and a clutch as well.

And while leopard shoes are a great way to dress up an outfit of solids, don’t be afraid to mix them with some print! One of my favorite combos is mixing a striped tee with leopard shoes (+ some plaid in the fall/winter!).
