There’s nothing like classic, striped pieces to get me pumped for spring and summer. I hate to admit it, but a significant portion of my closet is full of striped items and as much as I love, and still wear all these calssic pieces, I still add something new to my collection of stripes every year.
There’s just something fresh and perfect about stripes for the spring and summer. Like an invitation to have some fun in the sun by the water, but it’s also put together enough in case I need to have a quick meeting for work. Okay, so it really matters less and less what I’m wearing for work these days working from home, but I still like to get dressed most days because it makes me feel good.

So because stripes are my favorite print of all time (leopard a close runner up, and often paired together), I’ve scoured the internet to see what I’d like to add to my wardrobe this year, and am sharing some finds with you! Sizes in some of the sale items are going fast, so be sure to snag them before they’re gone!
FAVORITE PLACES TO SHOP FOR STRIPES
My #1 favorite place to find striped pieces is Boden. Okay, so it might be my favorite place to shop in general. If you have not shopped with them before, I highly recommend it. Their quality is spectacular. Their clothing is timeless, and they have a 365 day guarantee on their items, where if you do have an issue, you can return it.
They also have the most adorable clothes for children as well. I have to admit that the majority of my kids closet is Boden. I shop about a year ahead on sizes when they have sales, have found a bunch of second hand items, as well as have had a bunch passed down to me from my sister’s daughter. They’re just so classic (and have a great resale value too for children’s items).
After Boden, I’d say J. Crew is my second go to for classic, striped pieces. Target and H&M are close thirds! With what I’ve seen so far this year, however, I think you can find some nice, striped pieces almost anywhere you look (and gingham too, but I’ll save that for another post ;).

TWINNING
Did I mention that striped pieces are an easy way to create twinning outfits with your LO’s? Okay, so maybe you’re not into twinning as much as me, but as a girl mom of three, I find stripes an easy way to create a super cute, classy matching outfits. Perfect for the beach and/or lake days, or just any day.

Other things I’m looking forward to this spring? Starting my garden! I’ve already got seeds going by the window in our front room, and I can’t wait to move them outside! This year I’m working on adding more medicinal plants and more flowers to our flower beds.
